Upper South Creek Final Pipe Installation

John Holland

Groundlvl Media was enlisted to capture a significant milestone for John Holland on the Upper South Creek Project. Over the course of two consecutive days, we documented the installation of the final pipes along both the Brine and Water Pipelines, marking the successful completion of a major phase in the project.

This critical infrastructure project required precise and efficient installation to ensure the integrity and functionality of the pipelines, which are crucial for water management and environmental protection in the region. Our goal was to capture the complexity and scale of the operation, highlighting the expertise and coordination of the John Holland team in completing this vital task.

The project’s success is a testament to the advanced technology and skilled teams behind the Upper South Creek Project, and the content created serves to commemorate this significant achievement.

The Job
Groundlvl produced a dynamic video documentary capturing the final pipe installation process, emphasizing key moments of the operation. This included aerial drone shots for wide perspectives of the site, ground-level footage highlighting the equipment and workers, and close-up shots of the installation process itself. In addition to the full-length video, we delivered short-form video edits optimized for social media engagement, as well as high-resolution images.
The Method
The complexity of the installation process required careful coordination between multiple machines, workers, and safety protocols. Additionally, capturing the installation of large, heavy pipes in active construction conditions presented challenges in terms of timing, access, and safety. The weather conditions played a role in the filming process, as changing light levels and environmental factors required flexibility in capturing the best shots.
The Coverage
To ensure we captured the project’s key moments without disrupting site operations, we worked closely with John Holland’s team to schedule filming during key points of the installation process. We utilized a mix of aerial drone footage and ground-level cinematography to provide a complete view of the scope and scale of the work. Safety was a priority, and all filming was conducted with minimal impact on ongoing operations.
The Final Result
The final video successfully highlighted the efficiency and skill of John Holland’s team in completing the installation of the final pipes along the Brine and Water Pipelines. The video captured not only the technical aspects of the project but also the scale and importance of the work. The content was well-received by both John Holland and project stakeholders, providing a valuable marketing asset for future projects and showing the commitment to delivering complex infrastructure.
